Azores.com flagship advertising opportunities consist of banner ads strategically located in the most visible parts of the site design and content. Azores.com’s site is designed to accommodate most of the standard sizes and formats, so that your existing creative can likely be used without modification. Sponsorship Opportunities

Azores.com will consider mixed programs that incorporate sponsored content or sections of the site, exclusivity, devoted landing pages, and custom editorial content when appropriately done.
Azores.com includes sections on Travel, Real Estate, Media, Shopping, Regions and Information, and other areas of interest. Any of these “channels” are available for sponsorship with the advertisers’ logo and message appearing on every sponsored page. In addition, we offer within each section the opportunity to have a devoted landing page (www.Azores.com/section/yourcompanypage) for your company or product to fully harness the power of the Azores.com URL.
Exclusivity within any given product category is also an option, which when combined with banner advertising or channel sponsorship, assures exclusivity so that no competing products will appear on the pages containing your company’s ad or branding.

Ad Manager Tool

Azores.com’s Ad Serving System provides advertisers with detailed monthly/quarterly reports showing impressions and clicks, allowing advertisers to determine the effectiveness of their campaigns and to make adjustments as required.
Azores.com can provide monthly reports to advertisers and can accommodate any requirements for reporting. Advertisers are able to access their account and view every aspect of the campaign via secure link using your assigned username and password.

Note: All areas containing visitor content, interactivity, etc., will be moderated. Profanity, spam, inappropriate images, etc., will not be tolerated. We intend for www.azores.com to be a place suitable for visitors of all ages. For this reason Azores.com will not accept ads for certain types of products or services, and reserves the right to reject ads or creative that do not conform to our aspirations for the site.

Azores.com’s ad rates are priced competitively. They are based on an extensive survey of similar sites providing focused content. For this reason, Azores.com will not extend discounted rates except when offered some inducement or value in exchange. Azores.com will consider flexible arrangements in which both parties benefit, and creativity is welcome. Possibilities might include: a long term agreement with payment in advance, packages that mix banner ads with site section sponsorships, exclusivity for a particular product segment (e.g. hotels or real estate), participation in email marketing mixed with banner ads, or other similar partnerships.

Azores.com offers rates based only on the number of impressions served, and will not consider pay-per-click agreements or similar metrics. Azores.com will discuss commission-based arrangements if there is transparency in the way in which commissions are calculated and if payment is prompt and regular.
All contracts are subject to a three month minimum and are payable in advance.
Discounts for multiple and bulk buys and special arrangements as described above are available on a per case basis.

Technical Requirements

All ads should be less than 40 Kb in size and in a standard format such as gif, jpg, png, or flash.
Animated ads should repeat no more than three times, must not include audio and should last no longer than 30 seconds.

Technical Terms

Run of Site (RoS): Ads will be run throughout the site rather than only run in a particular area or areas of the site.

Targeting: Aiming ads at a particular kind of visitor by only serving them on certain pages or sections of the site or by only serving ads to visitors from certain geographical areas.
Site or Channel Targeting: At this time only available for Run of Site, Information, Travel, and Real Estate.

CPM (Cost Per Thousand). Ads are sold in units of impressions or number of times it makes an impression on a site visitor, i.e. served to a site visitor on a page. The smallest number available for sale is one thousand and so ads are priced in terms of that unit. (The use of M is an archaic Latin derived holdover from the days of newsprint).
