Sao Jorge island
Welcome to the Sao Jorge accommodations page. S. Jorge is very limited in terms of hotels, and its only hotel is not recommended by Azores.com due to the monopolistic and arrogant attitude of its management that reflects on its service. Also note that unless indicated on the pricing tables, unlike North America and similar to Europe, standard hotel rooms do not accommodate four adults. The two beds (twin) in a standard room are single beds. Therefore standard hotel rooms in S. Jorge accommodate a maximum of 3 adults in standard couples or twin beds room with an extra bed.

The Azores Islands bed & breakfast are not equivalent to the typical north-American or British b&b's. However, the Azores b&b mentioned in these pages do provide a chance to stay at places that are part of the local architecture and are run by friendly and generous proprietaries.
Azores bungalows are a type of lodging usually integrated in the natural and local settings of the different regions. Bungalows are usually located outside the metropolitan areas in garden like settings. They provide a relaxing and quaint alternative to traditional hotel and manors.
